THE PERUVIAN INSTITUTE OF MINING ENGINEERS IS THE ORGANIZER OFPERUMIN 35 MINING CONVENTION

The host and organizer of PERUMIN 35 Mining Convention “Generating Prosperity for Peruvians” is the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), a private non-profit organization formed by professionals and technicians from the Peruvian mining sector.

Thanks to the work of the IIMP, each edition of PERUMIN Mining Convention has successfully turned into the benchmark for Peruvian and Latin American mining.

Since its foundation in 1943, the IIMP has consolidated its prestige and leadership through the contribution of technical knowledge for the sustainable and competitive development of the mining industry in Peru. To this end, it contributes to the understanding of the great mining challenges, promotes the development of innovation, good practices and professional training.

Today, under the presidency of the engineer Abraham Chahuan, the IIMP promotes a prospective view of our country, which involves mining in its strategic planning and considers the importance of this activity for the sustained growth of our economy.

In addition to PERUMIN Mining Convention, the IIMP organizes recognized events at local and international level, such as the International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers - ProEXPLO, the Congress of Mining Competitiveness and Social Sustainability, weekly conferences (Mining Thursdays), webinars, among others that enable interaction with associates, professionals and actors in the mining industry.

Along these lines, it also promotes research and publishes specialized publications such as the Minería magazine, as well as studies related to the historical, technical and social development of this productive activity.
